Directions

Research indicates that the positive results of caring for and living with a socialized pet are numerous. In many instances, pets extend the life of their owners because of their loyalty and unconditional love. They are family.

And, when you adopt a shelter animal you are bringing hope and new life to a pet that was either abandoned, lost or abused. Animals feel pain, happiness and gratitude just as humans do.

So, join in the new Yonkers Animal Shelter efforts and help give hope and protection to our furry friends. Adopt and bring home a pet if you can or adopt a friend at the shelter and visit and help with its care and socialization.

This is a wonderful girl. She is so well behaved we forgot she was here, never barks or complains. Walks right by your side. Notice the stunning markings she has around her neck and uppper back.

A real doll!!!

Precious is a very sweet dog who had a litter of beautiful puppies when she came to the shelter. They were all adopted and poor Precious was left behind. She is a nice medium size, about 40 lbs. Precious gets along well with everyone, including other dogs.

Please consider giving Precious the home she so deserves.
